Eco-Congregation

This year, Gorbals Parish Church has become part of the ecumenical initiative Eco-congregations Scotland. At the moment there are over 200 churches in Scotland also becoming more environmentally friendly. A small group has been formed: John Harvey, Gayle Irvine and Laura Beattie, who are currently taking steps to make Gorbals church more environmentally friendly in worship, children’s work and our own
personal lives. We hope that you will support us in this challenge as since we currently have no building, to reduce our carbon footprint, we need to do more work in our own homes. If you would like to calculate your own carbon footprint, contact one of the team and we can give you the information to do so. Keep an eye out for future initiatives from our eco team that may help to make a small difference.

Historical Records

From time to time people make contact with us to ask about old records, usually in connection with family research. We have no records prior to 1974! We therefore redirect people to the Mitchell Library and Register House. Sorry.
